Dr. Stephen Froman, MD FACS FAAOA

Dr. Stephen M. Froman, a native of New York City, New York, attended the University of Michigan and City College of New York for his undergraduate degree in Biology. He received his medical degree at Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and completed a rotating internship at Crozier-Chester Medical Center in Upland, Pennsylvania. Dr. Froman completed a two year residency in general surgery at Hahnneman and his otolaryngology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – Eye and Ear Hospital, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Froman is on the medical staff at Heritage Valley Health System – Sewickley, Heritage Valley Health System Beaver and Heritage Valley Health System – Kennedy. He has been active in both the Pennsylvania and Beaver County Medical Societies, serving as President of the Beaver County Medical Society from 2002 – 2004. He is also a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, and Community Ear, Nose and Throat Specialists of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and he previously served as a Governor on the Board of Governors of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Froman is honored to be listed as one of Pittsburgh’s best doctors consecutively since 2012.

Dr. Michael Orsini, MD FACS

Dr. Michael A. Orsini is a native of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania. After attending Penn State University for his undergraduate degree, he received his medical degree at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the Penn State Milton Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Orsini then served as an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.


Before joining Doctors John F. Moyer, Michael C. Bell and Stephen M. Froman in 1983. Dr. Orsini is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He was elected a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 1985.

Dr. Mariann C McElwain, MD PhD FAAOA

Dr. Mariann C. McElwain is a native of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. She attended Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She went on to receive her doctorate degree in Medical Microbiology and Immunology from The Ohio State University. Finally, she received her medical degree from The Medical College of Ohio (University of Toledo). Dr. McElwain completed a surgical internship and her Otolaryngology residency at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 1998. She became board certified by The American Board of Otolaryngology in 1999 and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy in 2020. She was an assistant professor of Otolaryngology at The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Recently, she has returned to private practice joining Dr. Froman, Orsini and Rago.

Dr. Giuseppe V Staltari, MD FACS

Dr. Giuseppe V. Staltari is a proud Pittsburgh native. He attended Duquesne University where he studied biology, biochemistry, and economics. He received his medical degree from the Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. Dr. Staltari returned to Pittsburgh to complete his training in otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

Dr. Staltari practices the full breadth of otolaryngology, including advanced sinus care and surgery, larynology and voice disorders surgery, head and neck surgery, pediatric otolaryngology, sleep and snoring, and allergy.

Dr. Erik T. Interval, MD FACS

Eric Interval, MD, FACS, is a highly skilled and board-certified ear, nose, and throat specialist and a valued member of the ENT and Allergy Specialists of Western PA team. Through his work at the practice, Dr. Interval is honored to have a positive impact on patients in Beaver Township, and Seven Fields, Pennsylvania.

Education has always been essential to Dr. Interval. He began his studies in Pennsylvania at the University of Pittsburgh. He went on to earn his medical degree at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. Following his medical degree, Dr. Interval completed a residency in otolaryngology at West Virginia University in Morgantown
