Susan Homitz, M.S., F-AAA
Susan Homitz is a clinical audiologist with over thirty years of experience in diagnostic testing and hearing aid fittings. She has had experience with both pediatric and adult populations. She has worked in multiple otolaryngology practices and for a hearing aid manufacturer. Her experience has provided her with in-depth knowledge of advanced hearing aid technology.
Ms Homitz obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her Master of Science Degree in Audiology from Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. She completed her externship at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Washington D.C. while attending Gallaudet University.
Ms Homitz is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Examiners in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
She was born and raised in Beaver County, Pennsylvania and has worked her entire career in Western Pennsylvania to be near her family. Drs. Froman, Orsini & Rago recruited Ms Homitz to join AHAS in 2014.
Emily Frederick, Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Emily Frederick obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2016 and her Doctor of Audiology degree in 2020, from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed her fourth year externship at Washington Ear, Nose, & Throat located in Washington, PA. Dr. Frederick is passionate about working with hearing loss in the adult and pediatric population and providing the best communication needs through the use of state of the art hearing aid technologies.
Dr. Frederick is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Examiners in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. She also holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Taylor Hill, Au.D.
Dr. Taylor Hill is a clinical audiologist who is expertly trained in both adult and pediatric audiology and hearing rehabilitation. She studied at the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Science and Disorders in 2016 and her Doctor of Audiology degree in 2020. She completed her fourth-year residency at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Hill has presented research projects at state and national conferences. She earned the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology Student Research Poster Award at the Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology Conference in 2018 as well as the Audiology/Hearing Research Travel Award presented by the National Speech Language Hearing Association in 2018.
Dr. Hill is licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Examiners in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.
Although a native of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Dr. Hill is excited to provide hearing healthcare to her second home, Pittsburgh.
